The Fragrance Foundation has announced the top ten FiFi finalists competing for the 2010 FiFi Awards. The announcement comes in anticipation of the member’s only FiFi Finalists Breakfast taking place Friday April 23, at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel, New York City. Hosting the breakfast will be ABCTV reporter Lauren Glassberg. The awards celebration itself is June 10 at The Downtown Armory, New York City.

“As far as I’m concerned,” says Rochelle Bloom, president of The Fragrance Foundation, “spring doesn’t really start until we gather for this fun, eagerly awaited breakfast and find out which of the fabulous fragrance names have made it to the top five status. It’s also the moment when some winners will enjoy instant gratification and receive a FiFi right there and then!”

Bloom lauds the efforts of those who put together the lists of nominees. She says, “I’m always asked about the FiFi Award system and I can tell you The Fragrance Foundation receives and handles over 500 initial submissions with all the paperwork and careful attention to detail that such an undertaking requires. Submissions requiring a vote undergo several rigorous rounds of independent judgings and ballots are immediately sealed and sent to the accounting firm of Sperduto, Spector and Company for tabulation. It’s a heroic effort by a small, dedicated team.”
